My 4 year old son absolutely adores his Blue Bee Pal! The Blue Bee Pal is well made, the stitching and fabric really impressed me. Setup was very easy! My 4 year old loves the Blue Bee Pals app. We also use the Blue Bee Pal for speech therapy apps as well. We have had a lot of fun with this cute puppy!

Very Interactive!! My nine year old son was the first one to actually use this before my four year old did so I was able to get two perspectives on Riley the Zebra. My nine year old thought he was a little scary at first with the way he looked but he enjoyed connecting our tablet and also any other device with blue tooth to him. He even watched movies with him through our wii u! He thought the games were a bit simple but he is nine. We were not able to use some of the other suggested apps due to having android devices, so apple devices are preferred for many of other available apps which is one downfall to me. My four year old son did not find him scary, and grabbed a hold of him and wanted to snuggle with him right away. He also used him watching a movie, recording his voice for playback (which he loved doing!) and also tried a few app related games out. He really seems to find it more entertaining for many purposes and not so focused towards game playing alone. We even tried him out for a phone call which was fun and the other person on the line said the sound was decent not amazing, which is similar to using speaker on your phone in my opinion.

This is a really cute concept. I love that you can use any app that you want. Most "smart" toys require that you use their app, sp this is nice! The quality of the stuffed animal is nice. Very soft, and a nice size to carry around. I was expecting it to be more stiff because of the speakers, but was pleasantly surprised. Ultimately, my kids seemed to stop paying attention to the zebra and focused more on the screen, but it's a cute toy.

This is a fun add on item for your tablet, but other than the novelty of having the animal do the “talking”, it really doesn’t add much to the child’s experience. The child plays the app on the device just as they always would, but any audio comes out of the animal. This also means that even if there’s just background music the animal continues moving it’s head and mouth the entire time. It does work with any app on any Bluetooth enabled device, but is really just a fancy Bluetooth speaker. My kids thought it was exciting and new but after 10-15 minutes they are just paying attention to whatever is on the tablet and not even paying attention to the animal anymore. The phone call aspect again could be fun, but because there is a motor moving the mouth the person on the other end of the line hears the motor as background noise throughout the phone call. Overall, it’s a cute idea but doesn’t add much to the child’s experience with the tablet/device.

I have the zebra. First, I'll review the animal itself since that is what you are buying. It works and works well. However I've now realized it's not exactly interactive- it's more of just a Bluetooth tooth speaker inside of an animal. The mouth moves and head rotates some as audio comes out of the speaker. One interesting feature is that the animal itself has a microphone, and you can use it to make calls with your phone. The app is free, but it is an extremely basic app, very low production and kind of laggy on my tablet. My 4 yr old was able to complete all of the activities within the app in about 30 minutes. (One activity has you match fruit with it's corresponding color – bananas were called "nanas", and that kind of bothers me.) Could be fun to use with a book app or audio book, but we don't currently have any apps like that on our tablet. Overall, interesting concept, but needs a better developed app to go with it.

Free product for review. Blue bee pal. So took item out of box.. Turned on and it started talking and asking to be linked to blue tooth. Kids are thrilled. The heads moving life like and mouth moves with singing or music! Kids prefer to look at music video but still enjoy listening to books being read aloud. My daughter loves soft items so this goes to bed with her every night now. Only recommended for 3+ i understand bc 17 month old tries to squeeze his mouth shut 🙂 I still love it!

My son LOVES zebras so hooking his iPad up to this animal made it easier to use some educational apps that he had no interest in using without the animal. The extra interaction really made it fun! The cord to hookup to your tablet apnea with it and after you plug it in and download the app, there really isn’t much else to do except watch your toddler have fun. The battery pack is hidden inside the animal, but like all battery powered animals it does make it have a hard spot so when my son drags it around it does inevitably “knock” the walls , but that’s to be expected with all interactive products.
